Upstage is an opportunity for older teens to explore a show with mature themes.  Spring Awakening explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood, looking at mortality and sexuality with the thrill of rock and roll music

This production is audition only.  Not everyone will be cast. A $50 deposit is required to secure your audition space but will be refunded if not cast.

For auditions, please prepare 16 measures of a musical theater song of choice.  Sheet music will be required at the audition.  When choosing a song, consider the style of the show and the range of the character you are auditioning for. Cold readings will be done from the script.

Due to the subject matter, anyone under 18 that is cast will need a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

Those of you interested in participating in both UPSTAGE and our MAINSTAGE class for grades 8-12 – Please do! There will be no scheduling conflicts between these two productions!

Commitment is very important to us, so participants will be asked to sign an agreement stating their understanding of our commitment policy. At our audition, please provide a list of any KNOWN conflicts during our rehearsal period.
