The Acting Out! Theater Co, Inc. has been bringing theater to the Merrimack Valley for the past 18 years. And remember.... 

“ACTING OUT! IS WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT!”

We offer a wide variety of programs for children and teens, workshops for adults, and, of course, live theatrical performances.   Acting Out reaches out to the Lawrence community, and Merrimack Valley through work with local schools, providing services for programs such as; YMCA, Boys and Girls Club and other non-profit organizations and granting scholarships.   Acting Out makes no distinctions between paying and scholarship participants, and all participants benefit from the opportunity meeting individuals from different backgrounds.  Each year, we make progress growing our circle of participants from local communities and building bridges, but we need help maintaining our operating costs.   Acting Out includes everyone, and a critical part of our mission is to ensure that the opportunity is available to all, regardless of their ability to pay the fees. 

Closing our doors affects us financially and we are losing close to $35,000 in revenue. This number has increased due to loss of funds that we would have received from work we do in the Lawrence public schools.  We’ve applied for loans, are continuing to research and apply for grants, and now we are starting on-line classes to help us cover these expenses.  Many, many thanks to all of you that have donated and created fundraisers.  YOU are what community theater is all about, and your generosity and support is so important to Acting Out!.
